Whether you are a student, just starting your career in project management or are an established and competent Project Manager, we have a membership level to suit you. Show me how to join.
Student membershipAre you a full-time or part-time student?
AIPM provides a wealth of resources for students to assist them to successfully undertake studies to become proficient and competent Project Managers. Upon receipt of their qualification, students will be eligible for recognition as an Associate Member of AIPM.
To be eligible for student membership, you are required to be a full-time student enrolled at any faculty or institution or a part-time student undertaking a project management course with an AIPM Endorsed course provider is also entitled to apply for Student Membership online.
Evidence of enrolment from the course provider is required to be provided at the time of application and each time renewal is due.
Fees:
Full-time student membership is free for up to two years
Part-time student membership is $72.60
Affiliate membershipAre you interested or involved in project management but not necessarily a Project Manager (PM)?
An ‘Affiliate’ is an individual who is interested in being affiliated with the project management industry and desires access to AIPM’s resources. They may be an individual who has a strong interest in PM but does not hold recognised PM skills. Formal qualifications or certification or significant work experience in PM are not required. Affiliate members are not able to use post-nominals, vote at the AGM or in elections or take part in the RegPM Certification Program.
Affiliates of AIPM can apply for professional recognition as an Associate Member or Member of AIPM upon satisfaction of the relevant criteria. Apply for Affiliate membership online.

Associate membershipCan you show development as a project management professional?
To be eligible for Associate Membership (AAIPM) you will:
An Associate Member can use the post nominal AAIPM and can vote at the AGM or in elections. An Associate Member can apply to become a Member of AIPM by showing they have gained the additional experience or qualification required for member status.
Any Associate member who is awarded RegPM certification at either CPPM or CPPD level automatically has their membership upgraded to Member.

MemberAre you an established and competent Project Manager with five years project management experience?
A Member (MAIPM) has demonstrated skills, knowledge and competency to perform in the role of a project team member, Project Manager or Programme Director. To be recognised as a Member, the applicant needs to demonstrate

Life Fellow, Fellow and Honorary FellowThe membership grades of Fellow (FAIPM), Life Fellow (LFAIPM) and Honorary Fellow (HFAIPM) are honours awarded for exceptional contribution to the AIPM and to the PM profession under the terms of Section3 of the Constitution. Nominations and Applications for Fellowships are assessed by the Council of Fellows. Assessment recommendations are then passed to the Board of Directors for approval.
At present, AIPM has seven Life Fellows:
RetiredIf you are retired, over 55 and have been a member for the past five years, you are entitled to a 50 per cent discount. Retired Membership includes all the benefits of full membership. It is also an opportunity to remain actively involved in the industry. You can mentor junior members and advise project managers in the field who would benefit from your experience. Please note that the retirement rate will start from your next renewal notice. MaternityMembers on maternity leave are eligible for a discounted $66.00 rate, which will be reviewed annually. Members will keep all benefits of being a member such as use of Post Nominals MAIPM, subscription to the Project Manager Magazine, Member rates to all chapter events, access to our IRC channel, and being kept up to date on all things in Project Management. Simply let us know of your situation when paying your membership renewal, and we will make the change for you. Volunteer Work in a Humanitarian or Civil Defence CapacityMembers who meet any of the above criteria are eligible for a reduced membership rate of $66.00, with a review every 6 months. Members will keep all benefits of being a member such as use of Post Nominals MAIPM, subscription to the Project Manager Magazine, Member rates to all chapter events, access to our IRC channel, and being kept up to date on all things in Project Management.
In Between JobsMembers in between jobs are eligible for a reduced membership rate of $66.00 half yearly, with a review every 6 months. Members will keep all the benefits of being a member such as use of Post Nominals MAIPM, subscription to the Project Manager Magazine, Member rates to all chapter events, access to our IRC channel, and being kept up to date on all things in Project Management.
No Longer a Student?Students and Affiliate members upgrading to Associate or Member status will have their upgrade fee waived. This equates to a saving of $148.50 and you will have access to all member benefits! Please refer to the table below for all upgrade costs.
