The Membership Process

Membership Types

1. Examine the Membership categories available. The appropriate category will be determined by your work experience, qualifications, certifications and desired benefits.

2. Complete the Appropriate Membership Application Form. The fee will vary between $0 for approved full time students to $458.70 for first time Member grade members. You will also need to send a CV and copies of qualifications with the application form. There is also a one off $143 application fee, payable to the AIPM. This is payable online as part of the application process. This $143 fee is not charged on subsequent renewals.

3. Receive your application confirmation. A confirmation of your application will be sent to your listed email address. If there are any issues with your application the membership team will contact you to discuss. General processing time is between 10 and 15 business days.  

4. Receive your membership acceptance. A membership acceptance and certificate will be delivered to your postal address. You are now entitled to use your member benefits.

5. You are now a member of AIPM for 1 year subject to yearly renewal.

Individual - for people who are involved or interested in the Project Management industry. 

• Individuals must make an application for one of the 5 individual membership categories.
• Eligibility for membership is determined by examining the applicants relevant education, certification and experience.
• Categories are Part time Student, Full time Student, Affiliate, Associate and Member.

Corporate - for organisations that employ Project Managers or have an interest in Project Management.

• Eligibility for corporate membership is determined by the number of employees the corporate would like to join AIPM.

All potential members must read and be willing to abide by the AIPM Constitution and Code of Ethics.
