Trevor Alex
In Oct 2011 Trevor was appointed a National Director of the Australian Institute of Project Management. Prior to his appointment of National Director, he held the role of Victorian Chapter President and Director for 4 years. In 2010, Trevor was appointed the role of ‘Secretary’, for the Asia Pacific Federation of Project Management (APFPM). His appointment with AIPM and the APFPM is in a voluntary capacity.
Trevor is a Certified Practising Project Director and P30 Practitioner with over 15 years’ experience in the private and government sectors, covering Portfolio, Programme, Project and Operations Management. He is currently a Principal with a leading Project Management Consultancy, Training and Change Management firm.
Trevor is an IPMA First Assessor, and Chairs AIPM's Membership Council, Continuous Professional Development Council, Victorian Forum and Co-Chair of the Vic Project Management Achievement Awards.
Trevor has developed and built project management capability for individuals and organisations, conducted project management maturity reviews, health checks and managed large and complex programmes. He is also a RegPM Assessor and PMO Assessor for the Australian Institute of Project Management.
In February 2010 he was appointed the honorary title of ‘Adjunct Fellow’ at Victoria University for his role in supporting and rewarding students interested in pursuing a career in project management. He is regularly invited by Universities as a guest speaker.
He holds a Master of Commerce, Post Graduate Certificate in Management, Advance Diploma of Project Mgt, and has undertaken Executive Development Programs in Washington DC at Georgetown University and the H.M Smith Business School (University of Maryland) and is currently undertaking a PhD at RMIT University.
Trevor is a Fellow of the AIPM, and the Australian Institute of Management.
